Finding Beauty Everywhere

I love to find beauty in unexpected places...and I'm never disappointed.

We, you and I, just have to take the time to look. It's Everywhere!!

My Photo
Name:
Location: Ohio, United States

I'm interested in all living things which means All Things. There is beauty everywhere. We just have to slow down enough to find it...to see it. I believe there is nothing Man can do to match the beauty found in Nature...and not only the beauty. Nature can outdo anything man can think of in the way of destruction too. Man is very small, the works of man are very small. We need to remember this. But Nature never sends its force after anything or anyone out of anger or hatred or desire to conquer or own. Nature has many lessons for us all.

Rainbow March 6, 2008

This was incredible! The photo does not do it justice! It was so huge I had to take it in several parts. I spliced them together in photoshop but the rainbow itself in both halves is un-retouched.

Hi O! Thanks! It took me a while to get the two halves spliced but it was worth it.

Hi Andi! Glad you liked my photo. The real rainbow was breathtaking. As I said, the photo really doesn't do justice to the real thing. But thanks!

Puget4,
First thanks for stopping & shooting this beauty. The other thanks, is for you taking the initiative to shoot it in parts so we could get at least an idea of what you saw. You say it is not representative of how it really was, but you`re sure fooling me. Great shot.
I think you did a super job on splicing the shots.
That`s one of my favorite methods of creating larger images that the camera doesn`t capture in one frame. Excellent merge/splice.

Hi KH. Thanks very much for such kind words. I really appreciate it. It wasn't hard to stop to take the photo. It, in all its glory, was right across the street from our house. How's that for good luck? We got a similar one the next night too. If we'd gotten a third in a row we were going to start playing the lottery seriously. LOL

Hi Puget.

You did a wonderful job on that rainbow. I agree with everybody that it's magnificent.

Everything here is starting to level out somewhat, and FMom and I are doing fine. I hope you, Gooserock and GMom are doing well.

Take care.
