Finding Beauty Everywhere

I love to find beauty in unexpected places...and I'm never disappointed.

We, you and I, just have to take the time to look. It's Everywhere!!

I'm interested in all living things which means All Things. There is beauty everywhere. We just have to slow down enough to find it...to see it. I believe there is nothing Man can do to match the beauty found in Nature...and not only the beauty. Nature can outdo anything man can think of in the way of destruction too. Man is very small, the works of man are very small. We need to remember this. But Nature never sends its force after anything or anyone out of anger or hatred or desire to conquer or own. Nature has many lessons for us all.

Chickadee and Varied Thrush

Here's a frequent visitor to my new bird feeder. The feeder is stuck on one of the big front windows so it's easy for all of us to watch it.

And here's a varied thrush who comes around also. He's almost too big for the feeder. Today he just sat in it and scratched around and ate and scratched and ate. He's really pretty.

It's trying to come. It feels springish this morning so that's a start. Thanks for coming by.

Hi P4, hi FM.

P4, these little birdies are so cute! How often do you have to fill the feeder ... :) I can imagine it being the place to hang out for the feathered flocks.

Hi Olivia! Thanks for coming by. I refill every other day or so. We also see Towhees (sp?). Everyone seems to like the sunflower seeds the best. It's really fun to watch them come and go. Oh yes! I saw my first robins today.

YES! Can you believe it? There were several robins on the other side of the street. They were gone again before I could get my camera but there is no mistaking those robin-red breasts. We get a lot of migrating birds through here. Guess we're on the Pacific Fly-way.

I can't wait for spring to arrive ... It's great to see it and hear about it in your corner of the world in the meantime.
