Finding Beauty Everywhere

I love to find beauty in unexpected places...and I'm never disappointed.

We, you and I, just have to take the time to look. It's Everywhere!!

I'm interested in all living things which means All Things. There is beauty everywhere. We just have to slow down enough to find it...to see it. I believe there is nothing Man can do to match the beauty found in Nature...and not only the beauty. Nature can outdo anything man can think of in the way of destruction too. Man is very small, the works of man are very small. We need to remember this. But Nature never sends its force after anything or anyone out of anger or hatred or desire to conquer or own. Nature has many lessons for us all.

Big Announcement!

We get to keep my "favorite view"!!

After 3 months of a roller coaster ride of "We can do it. No, we can't. Yes, we can." over and over again we figured a way to purchase the house we've been renting for almost 3 years. It's where "my favorite view" lives.

One of the most interesting things is that now that the house is "ours", it feels entirely different to both Gooserock and me. We've lived in it nearly 3 years, why should it feel so different? Don't know, but it's really cool.

First thing I did was to expand my little 5'x7' perennial bed. That was as much as I wanted to plant in a rented house. So now I've expanded it to 5'x10' or so. I bought 10 new plants and true to my self-designation of "gardener" I had to move 5 of the original ones and need to move 3 more. I have a friend who once said, "No gardner is worth his/her salt who doesn't move the plants around"

Anyhow, here's a picture of my newly expanded border with "the view" in the background. BTW, my garden is sandwiched between the driveways.

Congrats Puget and Gooserock!

I'm very happy for both of you.

I can understand how it would feel different. It's yours now!

Congratulations!!! This is great news -- I'm so happy for you both. I agree w/ FM, that it is understandable that it would feel different knowing that it's yours. :-)

I love your garden and your view. Hehe, you've got quite a selection already ... and yes, lol at the moving the plants. :)

Congrats again! {{{P4}}}

Howdy, Olivia and FM, thanks! Yes, we are definitely excited! All those sunsets (and I have a new one) are shot from either the front yard or a second story window. I'll post a picture of the house itself soon.

My little garden is so brave. It contains a lot of the same flowers I had back in Ohio. I hope they'll do well out here.

Many thanks AndiF. It surely feels good. Today we bought gutter materials. The house never had gutters before! We're having fun.
