Update....Monday, Day Two
Howdy All,
Day two in local hospital.
Slept well. My blood counts are down to normal. Everyone is happy including my
surgeon. Surgery will be tomorrow for sure.
Mu surgeon, a gal, is just a little bit of a thing, very bright, very energetic, well thought of in the community (even the insiders at the hospital here). She's friendly, warm and has a big smile. I asked her today, "How do you make sure you're taking care of YOURself?" She said it's hard sometimes because of the full schedule.
She'll be back in the afternoon to give me the particulars about the surgery. I like her alot.
Gooserock is, as we speak, getting GMom moved into our house. He's been shepherding GMom and Toto2 and keeping the world held together while I'm away. Plus he's keeping in touch with me by phone. I feel like he's right here beside me. If he were here, we'd both be nuts with just sitting around staring at each other. So, I'm glad he has something to keep himself entertained while I'm stuck here feeling fine.
Oh!! Big news!! Since my blood work was perfect this morning, they let me have clear liquids and jello! The nurse said do I want red, yellow, orange or green? I said one of each, plus apple juice and a cup of glorious coffee!
What else..... I have a roommate now. She is in with kidney stones...lots of pain. She's very brave. She's had lots of problems in the past, lupus which in itself is painful plus other stuff. So she knows the meaning of pain. She's a great talker and we get along well. She's also very considerate about TV sound level etc. It's nice to have someone to talk to.
I've been getting lots of phone calls from friends out here. It's really nice to know people care and are thinking of you. That's why I appreciate all of you so much.
I'll post again after I talk to the surgeon this afternoon.

The Goose has landed! That's one small egg for a man to lay, one giant leap for mankind!
Florida Mom is puttering comfortably in her suite with One-Eyed Toto supervising, which is all packed exactly like the stateroom scene from "A Night at the Opera."
Now, back to unpacking and stacking.
Hi Puget and Gooserock.
Puget - Your doctor does sound really good, and I'm glad you have someone like that. It makes the surgery so much easier to take when you have someone that's friendly and informs you of what's going on and what's going to happen.
Gooserock - Glad you got FMom moved in and that you have Toto to supervise. You've had a lot going on so remember, slack when possible.
As I said before, I'm a natural born worrier, so thanks to both of you for letting us know what's going on.
Take care.
Hi Gooserock Sweety, :-)
It was so funny, you read and wrote to me this morning even before we contacted by phone. Ain't technology grand?
So home looks "exactly like the stateroom scene from "A Night at the Opera.""? Maybe I'll stay here a while longer. Do you think "Bewitched" could stop by and twitch her nose to fix everything?
Hi FM. Good to see/hear you again.
GR said that Toto2 has taken control of GMom's sofa and claimed it so he's happy to have another cuddle spot in the house.
Thanks for caring, FM. It's always nice to hear from you.
Wow, great news, P4. Good luck with the surgery. I'll be thinking of you.
Hiya Gooserock!
Hi Andi....Thanks! Gooserock says hi back at you. :-)
Wow P4, I can't believe you're blogging from the hospital -- how hip is that! :-D It's wonderful to hear that you're doing okay ... getting lots of good care and now jello ... hehe
Gooserock, it's good to hear you and GMom and Toto2 are getting things settled.
What a time you are all having!
