Finding Beauty Everywhere

I love to find beauty in unexpected places...and I'm never disappointed.

We, you and I, just have to take the time to look. It's Everywhere!!

Location: Ohio, United States

I'm interested in all living things which means All Things. There is beauty everywhere. We just have to slow down enough to find it...to see it. I believe there is nothing Man can do to match the beauty found in Nature...and not only the beauty. Nature can outdo anything man can think of in the way of destruction too. Man is very small, the works of man are very small. We need to remember this. But Nature never sends its force after anything or anyone out of anger or hatred or desire to conquer or own. Nature has many lessons for us all.

The Carbide Anniversary

Howdy,

Today is Gooserock's and my 24th Anniversary.....the Carbide Anniversary.

What the heck am I talking about you ask?

I asked for a reamer of some sort to make one of my workshop tasks easier, Gooserock ordered it, and it arrived today. He said, "Happy Carbide Anniversary". What a guy!

Isn't it pretty?

Actually, it's been a very sentimental day. It had started out with low cloud cover over the headland across the way and over our white, blue, and red boat. (We really must decide on a name soon.)

Then weather changed to being very similar to the weather 24 years ago, trees changing color, warm sun, light breeze.

We put a second coat of wax on the rub-rail of our boat (the first coat stopped the chalkiness rubbing off). Then we sat in the cockpit and looked down our home street and looked at each other and just enjoyed being together. Later in the day I did a little more planting in my new garden bed. Photos of that coming soon.

Happy Anniversary!

(and I'm in a hotel with wifi so I didn't even have to wait to see the pics)

We had our 35th this year and Jim said that was the chain saw anniversary which I thought was an odd coincidence since our old Stihl had just died. :)

Hi Andi,

Another happy coincidence, carbide and Stihl. Sounds like these guys think a lot alike. LOL.

Happy belated P4! Great views of the place you have here, and they make me wish we were less land locked out here in plainsland.

We're running up on 10 here ... any hints as to appropriate tools to gift? At least I know we're well past paper at this point, even if it isn't legal here yet ...

Hoping to collect some celosia sport seed for you still this year, now that it's frozen and killed most of the annual stuff here ... still interested?

Olivia as much as we're tapping here and IVG's blog, I wonder do we need to take up tap dancing? :)
