I don't know the name of these but they seem to pop up in hard compacted soil.

Man is very small, the works of man are very small. We need to remember this. But Nature never sends its force after anything or anyone out of anger or hatred or desire to conquer or own. Nature has many lessons for us all.

{{Olivia}}I don't know as I've ever seen one in a flower bed. They just seem to spring up in ugly bare places. Yes, I wanted to try your mulitple images per entry and it worked. But I had to adjust (widen) the format a bit for them to fit.
{{dus7}} Hello and thanks for coming around. These do look a lot like Gerberas but the leaves are different and they sort of sprawl out instead of being sturdy and upright like Gerberas. Can't be sure though. It's hard to tell one compositae from another.
