Finding Beauty Everywhere

I love to find beauty in unexpected places...and I'm never disappointed.

We, you and I, just have to take the time to look. It's Everywhere!!

My Photo
Name:
Location: Ohio, United States

I'm interested in all living things which means All Things. There is beauty everywhere. We just have to slow down enough to find it...to see it. I believe there is nothing Man can do to match the beauty found in Nature...and not only the beauty. Nature can outdo anything man can think of in the way of destruction too. Man is very small, the works of man are very small. We need to remember this. But Nature never sends its force after anything or anyone out of anger or hatred or desire to conquer or own. Nature has many lessons for us all.

The Eagle Has Landed

I was busy at my workbench when I heard some noise and looked out over the tidal plain just beyond our house. I saw two eagles on a dry hump in the basin. One was a juvenile, looked to be only a yearling. The other was an adult in all his grandeur. It takes 4 years for a bald eagle to get its full white head and tail. A yearling is almost all dark with only a small amount of mottling.

I grabbed my little Nikon Coolpix 2500 (a VERY basic camera) and our small birding telescope and using Gooserock's technique I took some shots through the telescope. By the time I was ready, the juvenile had left but Himself was still there.

This first photo is for reference to see how close he is to human habitation. The rest of the photos I engaged the camera's telephoto function.
